Important Race Updates and Announcements: Robust Extreme Cycling Challenge by Fil-Chi Cycling, Roxas Blvd Sunday, May 25, 2014
1. Clarification – The Filipino Chinese Cycling Federation is the organizer of the race to give back to the Philippine Cycling community. THE RACE IS OPEN TO ALL CYCLING ENTHUSIASTS, NOT JUST FILIPINO-CHINESE.
2. Pre-registration – Please be informed that pre-registration ends today. All those that have pre-registered at the accredited shops will have till tonight to register as we will collect all entries tomorrow morning. THOSE WHO HAVE PRE-REGISTERED ARE GUARANTEED THE FREE ROBUST JERSEY.
3. On Site Registration – For those that will register on-site, please be informed that you still have a chance to avail of the free Robust Jersey alongside the limited supply traditional Goodie Bags depending on the pre-registration turnout. Please be present at least 90 minutes to your selected event to ensure that you are properly registered and that you follow the registration instructions, transponder installation, and numbering (Right side of the back of your jersey/shirt.). Slots are limited in the race and will be on a first come first served basis to ensure the safety of the riders on the course. YOU MUST RETURN YOUR TRANSPONDER AT THE RACE FINISHERS HOLDING AREA TO AVAIL OF THE GOODIE BAG AND BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE RAFFLE PRIZES.
4. Folding Bike Rules – Folding Bike categories (We have 2) will be judged on their biggest wheel size, determining which category you will be participating in. PROFESSIONAL RIDERS (Both active and retired) ARE NOT ALLOWED TO COMPETE IN THE FOLDING BIKE CATEGORY.
5. Mountain Bikers – 29ERS AND 650B WHEEL SIZES ARE ALLOWED. What you must comply with is the maximum large chainring size and also the minimum tire width.
6. Rest and recreation – We have supplied limited tent areas for the spectators and participants to combat the heat. THIS IS ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS.
