Challenge Camsur is another challenge that will join the Challenge Philippines (We Are Triathlon) sports event this coming 2015. Last February 2014 was the start of the Challenge Philippines in Subic Bay and Bataan, it was a successful triathlon event that attracted a total of 700 athletes that came from 38 countries, that challenging triathlon was considered as the largest and fastest pro fields here in Asia.
The winner in that race is Matt Burton, he took home the grand prize of $ US 50,000 while for female division is Melissa Hauschildt, she mentioned that it was the toughest race ever she finished. (1)
After Challenge Philippines, and after some months, the Challenge Family organizes another race and here they gave birth for another challenge — Yellow Cab’s Challenge Camsur. The race will be held on June 14, 2015 in Camsur, but then before that another leg of Challenge Philippines will on February 21, 2015.
According to the organizers, the Yellow Cab’s Challenge Camsur is not only he best triathlon in Asia, but it will also help develop a grassroots of program for the sport. Leverage sports Asia, the race producer of this race event, said that they are in collaboration with the Province of Camarines Sur to work closely together to develop the program and expand the various cities and provinces all over the country.
